Scott Thompson’s Case: Your CV Can Get You Job Or Get You Fired!

Probably, when you read these lines Yahoo’s CEO Scott Thompson who was previously the president of PayPal, will be quitting his CEO position in Yahoo cause of the wrong information on his CV. In Thompson’s CV, he claims that he graduated with a degree in accounting and computer science in 1978 from Stonehill College. The school confirms the accounting degree but a computer science degree. Because, they did not have a degree on computer science until 1983 -5 years difference form his graduation.

Rovio's New Game: Amazing Alex

Just yesterday, Rovio has announced that they hit the one billion downloading for Angry Birds games. And today, Rovio's CEO has told in Finnish TV channel, YLE, that new game, called Amazing Alex, will be released within two months on the markets.

"The game is based on intellectual property Rovio purchased from the Casey's Contraptions game.

Hed says Rovio’s latest game has an educational element and centres on main character Alex, a curious young boy who loves to build things."

This will be new challenge for Rovio after Angry Birds' unbeatable success, after couple months we will see how Amazing Alex will be doing on the markets.

Rovio Has Been Valued $8.8 Billion

Rovio is planning to go for initial public offering (IPO) in 2013 either in New York or Hong Kong and analysts have valued the Rovio at $ 8.8 billion nearly as much as Finland’s proud Nokia. Rovio’s latest game Angry Birds Space still holds title of being “the fastest growing mobile game ever”. However, Rovio is not limiting itself only online and mobile services, they sold one million plush toys and one million Angry Birds T-shirts in 2011. Nowadays, you can see Angry Birds drinks, Angry Birds themed park (in Tampere, Finland) and any other plenty of different variety of stuffs.
